Northeastern University Wins the Highest Award of Scientific and Technological Invention at the 19th London International Invention Exhibition
From October 23rd to 26th, the 19th London International Invention Exhibition is held at Barbican Exhibition Center in London. The project battery management charge equalization device and method of all vanadium liquid flow energy storage system leaded by Guotao Hui, an associate professor of Northeastern University, is awarded the highest prize of Scientific and Technological Invention at the 19th London International Invention Exhibition by the committee. This is the first time that this award has been awarded to the scientific research teams outside the UK, which is a historic breakthrough for the British Invention Exhibition.
This project has won the Best Invention Gold Award of WIPO(World Intellectual Property Organization) in 2018 as a further in-depth exploration and innovation of related technologies in the field of all vanadium liquid flow energy storage on the basis of a kind of electric power collection device and method of all vanadium liquid flow energy storage system based on data characteristics. It has improved the relevant technology of accurate measurement of electric quantity in the field of all vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage, and further advanced the battery's advantages such as long service life, large energy storage scale, excellent battery uniformity, safety and reliability.
