NEU Won the Second Prize of "Outstanding Examples of Quality Assurance System Construction of Different Types of Universities in China"
Recently, the Chinese Network of Internal Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CIQA) announced the selection results of Outstanding Examples of Quality Assurance System Construction of Different Types of Universities in China . The quality assurance system construction case submitted by NEU’s Teaching Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center won the second prize.
The Teaching Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center was established in 2018. It is a special institution for teaching quality assurance set up to practice the spirit of “separation of management, operation and evaluation proposed by the Ministry of Education, further implement the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and talents, and build up the position of the Talent Cultivation Center. Adhering to the concept of student-centered, output-oriented and continuous improvement-based, the Teaching Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center has been constantly deepening the reform of educational evaluation and actively promoting the construction of quality culture around the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and talents. It has carried out long-term exploration and practice on the scientific construction of talent cultivation quality assurance system, formed an undergraduate talent cultivation quality assurance system with the characteristics of NEU, continuously and effectively launched diversified, hierarchical and comprehensive teaching quality monitoring and evaluation, and conducted regular monitoring and continuous improvement of teaching quality. It has played a significant role in improving teachers' teaching ability and teaching input, the construction of undergraduate teaching conditions, the level of teaching management, the quality of undergraduate cultivation and the construction of professional connotation, effectively guaranteeing the continuous improvement of education and talent cultivation quality of NEU.
