On May 18th,Wen Siguo, consul-general of American Embassy in Shenyang visited NortheasternUniversity (NEU). President Zhao Ji met with the guests in Han Qing AssemblyHall, in accompany with directors of NEU International Cooperation and ExchangeDepartment and Foreign Studies College.
Zhao Jiintroduced development history and characteristics of NEU briefly, and reviewedthe interaction and cooperation with the U.S. universities and colleges in the fieldsof talent cultivation, scientific research, curricula construction and cultureexchange etc. recent years. Zhao Ji indicated that, NEU pays high attention tothe open development and international cooperation. He hoped consul-general WenSiguo could convey the cooperation intention of NEU to the universities andcolleges in the U.S.
Wen Siguopointed out that, establishing and maintaining the close and harmonious academicand cultural exchanges between America and China is one of the consulate’s targets.They would support more scholars from American universities and colleges andresearch institution to come to NEU, conducting academic communications.
