On May 22nd,the Northeastern University (NEU) 54th Sports Meeting was held in WuSi Stadium. Olympic champions Sun Fuming, Ding Meiyuan, Liu Yanan, and TangBin, deputy director of Liaoning Sports Bureau Liu Zheng, leaders of NEU SunJiaxue, Zhao Ji, Xiong Xiaomei, Yang Ming, Zuo Liang, Lu Yanhua, Sun Lei, andrepresentatives of teaching and administrative staffs and students attended theopening and closing ceremony.
NEU PresidentZhao Ji and Secretary of the Party Committee Sun Jiaxue gave speeches respectivelyon the opening and closing ceremony. They pointed out that with a brilliant sportshistory, NEU always attached great importance to sports education, andadvocated national fitness. In addition, this year, NEU will further improvethe sports facilities, and create better sport environment and conditions.
After fiercecompetition, top 8 women’s groups are obtained by Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao,School of Humanities and Law, School of Business Administration, College of InformationScience and Engineering, Graduate School, School of Mechanical Engineering andAutomation, School of Materials and Metallurgy, Sino-Dutch Biomedical and InformationEngineering School , while men’s teams of Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao,College of Resources and Civil Engineering, College of National DefenseEducation, Mechanical Engineering and Automation, College of Information Scienceand Engineering, School of Humanities and Law, School of Materials andMetallurgy, and Graduate School obtain top 8.
