Recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and China Youth Daily organized and held the Eighth National Summer Practice Contest for College Students 2022. NEU carried off a number of honors and awards. To be specific, NEU was listed among China’s TOP10 universities in support of summer practice for 2022; the “Jinggang Propaganda” Practice Team was listed among China’s TOP10 summer practice teams for 2022; the “Young Guardian of Light - National Prosperity”—“Light for Dream Building” Children Care Action was listed among China’s TOP10 summer practice projects for 2022. In addition, the “Intelligent Yan’an” Social Practice Research Team was listed among China’s TOP100 summer practice teams for 2022; the “Contemporary Rural Revitalization” Project was listed among China’s TOP100 summer practice projects for 2022.
It was reported that, according to the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and the Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League’s requirements for social practice in summer, NEU was progressive in organizing and carrying out social practice activities in summer. Nine teams were set up, including “Light of Theory - National and Social Conditions Research Team”, “Remembering History - Party History & League History Propaganda and Research Team”, “Youth China - Rural Revitalization Research Team”, “Community Contribution - Revitalization Service Team”, “Sunshine Cultivation - Financially Aided Students’ Practice Team for give back to Society”, “Attachment to NEU - Enrollment Propaganda Practice Team”, “Carrying the Torch - School History & Alumni Work Practice Team”, “Road to Revitalization - Practice Team for Survey of Industrial Development in Liaoning Province”, and “Challenge to Excellence - Innovation and Entrepreneurship Technology competition Practice Team”. 417 key teams and professional teams at two administrative levels were established, with about 8,000 students selected for the competition. They practiced in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China. Practice over, the students from NEU shared their experience in social practice under the theme of “Measuring Motherland with Youth and Bending down in Practice to gain Genuine Knowledge”. Excellent team representatives were organized to share their practical experience to arouse young students’ enthusiasm for social practice.
