According to the Notice of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education on Publishing the List of Winners of the 2022 General Higher Education (Undergraduate) Teaching Achievement Awards of Liaoning Province (Liaojiaotong [2022] No. 68), all the 36 undergraduate teaching achievements recommended by our school won awards, including 13 first prizes, 15 second prizes and 8 third prizes.
NEU has been fostering students’ virtue through moral education by implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of the National Education Conference and the National Conference on Undergraduate Education in the New Era. Our university has continuously carried out the Action Plan for Excellent Undergraduate Education for NEU (2017-2023) and established the Four Golden and One New framework for high-quality development to deepen the reform of undergraduate education with the characteristics of NEU.
In recent years, the university has strengthened top-level design and overall planning and adhered to problem-oriented, characteristic and cooperative educational mode. Every year, the university carries out nearly 200 national, provincial and school- level research projects for the reform of undergraduate education, focusing on solving the urgent problems in talent training, educational mode, educational standard, school-running construction, teaching system and teaching methods. The university has carried out all-round construction and reform in ideological and political education in academic courses, knowledge system, curriculum system, teaching material system, first-class majors, first-class courses, new engineering majors and new liberal arts majors. What’s more, the university has continuously promoted the concept of providing all-round and whole-process education for all students”, the four golden and one new system, and the all round education on morality, intelligence, physique, art and labor to foster students’ virtue through education and created a number of duplicable teaching achievements with the characteristics of NEU that serve the regional and national economic development.
In the future, the university will continue to meet the standards and requirements of the Ministry of education and Liaoning Provincial government for first-class undergraduate education construction, strive to solve the problems in the improvement of the quality of undergraduate education, comprehensively improve the effectiveness of its undergraduate education and teaching reform, and enable all students to benefit from the teaching and education reform and development.
