Recently, the NEU Staff Table Tennis Competition 2023 came to an end in Liu Changchun Gymnasium. The competition was sponsored by the Labor Union and presented by the Physical Education Department and the Stadium Administration Center of NEU. A total of 15 sub-labor unions with more than 160 staff members participated in the mixed team and men's and women's singles competitions.
The chill in winter could not resist NEU staff’s enthusiasm for competition. The players carried forward the spirit of "unite, cooperate and strive to be the first", showing their style and level in the competition. More than 50 referees and ground staff stuck to their posts during the competition, strictly enforced the judgment, and maintained a highly responsible, fair and impartial attitude to ensure the smooth progress of the game.
After fierce competition, the united team of the School of Material Science and Engineering and the School of Metallurgy won first place in the team competition, and the College of Information Science and Engineering and the NEU Science & Technology Industry Co., Ltd. respectively won the second and the third place in the team competition. Liu Jialiang from the College of Information Science and Engineering, Li Xiaowu from the School of Material Science and Engineering and Wang Ya 'an from the Logistic Affairs Department were the top three in the men's singles competition. Zhang Jiuhong from the School of Jangho Architecture, Yang Mingfeng from a department directly under NEU, and Wang Yanting from the College of Information Science and Engineering won the top three places in women's singles.
