The NEU student enterprise received an investment of millions of RMB and was selected for the 2024 Spring Entrepreneurship Camp of MiraclePlus

Recently, Shenyang Lindong Bionic Technology Co., Ltd. founded by Yichen Chu, a doctoral student from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU, has been successfully selected for the 2024 Spring Entrepreneurship Camp of MiraclePlus. MiraclePlus (formerly YC China) will invest US$300,000 (about RMB 2.15 million) in Shenyang Lindong Bionic Technology Co., Ltd., which accounts for 7% of its shares. Shenyang Lindong Bionic Technology Co., Ltd. is valued to be more than RMB 30 million.

Lindong Bionic Technology is a high-tech startup that focuses on the novation in the field of bionic robotics. Its research and development of related technologies rely on the Bionic Intelligence Laboratory at School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU. In recent years, after being incubated by the college's innovation and entrepreneurship base and supported by the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lindong Bionic Technology was founded in November 2023 by doctoral student Yichen Chu under the guidance of Professor Mingxu Ma from the School of Mechanical Engineering. Since its establishment, Lindong Bionic Technology has been committed to the research of underwater bionic robot technology, and its products have shown wide application potential in education, water quality testing, aquaculture, and other fields. Being selected for the 2024 Spring Entrepreneurship Camp of MiraclePlus marks the recognition of Lindong Bionic Technology's outstanding potential in high-tech innovation and entrepreneurship by authoritative institutions in the industry.

The School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation regards innovation and entrepreneurship as an important part of the School's education, focusing on cultivating students' "innovative" and "pioneering" innovation consciousness and entrepreneurial spirit, continuously improving their innovation spirit, entrepreneurial awareness, and innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. The School actively carries out entrepreneurial guidance services for innovation and entrepreneurship education, integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into the development of quality education. In the past three years, students have participated in more than 150 international and domestic competitions, and among them over 2,000 students won awards at the provincial level or above. Currently, the School has established 4 student innovation teams and incubated 1 student entrepreneurial enterprise, all of which have achieved good results.
