On March 24, Feng Xiating, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and president of NEU, paid a visit to China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) with a delegation, whom were received by Zhang Hao, the president of the Institute, at the headquarters, where two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the research and application of rockburst monitoring, early warning, prevention and control technologies for deep-buried long tunnels of major railways. Related people attended the meeting including Huang Shuanglin, assistant to the president of the Institute, Li Guoliang, a master of engineering survey and design at national level and the associate chief engineer of the Institute, Guo Yunwu, secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Institute, and chief engineer Zhang Wenzhong, etc. as well as relevant leaders and team members of NEU Deep Engineering and Intelligent Technology Research Institute.
Professor He Benguo, lecturers Hu Lei and Zhang Wei from the Deep Engineering and Intelligent Technology Research Institute delivered a theme report on “Rockburst Mechanics, Monitoring, Early Warning, Prevention and Control Technology” at the Institute.
