President Zhao Ji Met Vice President of Sydney University of Science and Technology, Australia

On July 1st, President Zhao Ji met with Iain Watt, Vice President of Sydney University of Science and Technology, Australia, and other two people at the International Academic Exchange Center. Liu Jianchang, vice-president of Northeastern University and president of Qinhuangdao Branch, and relevant officials of Northeastern University's InternationalCooperation and Exchange Department and Qinhuangdao Branch attended themeeting.

President Zhao Ji introduced the history and current situation of Northeastern University, its philosophy and characteristics, and the development of the Qinhuangdao branch of Northeastern University. Iain Watt introduced the achievements of Sydney University ofScience and Technology in recent years in highlighting the characteristics ofrunning schools, promoting the development of advantageous disciplines andencouraging students to innovate and start businesses. The two universities say that they are very similar in school-running philosophy, student size, engineering advantages and cultivation of students' innovative and entrepreneurial abilities, and have potential for cooperation. They hope tospeed up the preparation of Sino-foreign cooperative school-running projects, realize international cooperation in talent cultivation as soon as possible,and set up joint laboratories and scientific research platforms in due course.
