International Conference on Industry-University-Research Cooperation Opened in Northeastern University
On September 6, 2019 International Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference (Shenyang) opened in Northeastern University. At the opening ceremony, the unveiling ceremony was held for the joint research center for smart city underground engineering of Northeastern University-Moscow State Architecture University and the joint research center for advanced materials of Northeastern University-Bournemouth University.
The theme of this meeting was "Building the Belt and Road Initiative Together and Promoting Development Together". Focusing on the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials, new generation information technology and intelligence, green chemical industry and new energy materials, the meeting would comprehensively connect the development of education in Northeast China, promote the adjustment and upgrading of regional industrial structure, further promote the cooperation between China and relevant countries in frontier technology fields, and contribute wisdom to the construction of a global innovation chain. The meeting was guided by the Ministry of Education and the Liaoning provincial government, sponsored by the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and Northeastern University. 180 experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from more than 100 universities, research institutions and enterprises in China, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the United States, Britain and other countries have conducted multi-dimensional discussions from all levels of production, study and research, and discussed cooperation on the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements.
Vice Minister of Education Sun Yao and Vice Governor Wang Mingyu attended the meeting.
