Recently the international Genetically Engineered Machine Competition (iGEM) was concluded in Boston, USA. The "NEU-CHINA" team from Northeastern University won golden prize in the competition.
The iGEM in this year was hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), appealing more than 300 universities and over 3000 students both home and abroad.
The Northeastern University team, "NEU-CHINA" was guided by Professor of School of Medicine and Healthy, Ding Chen, with Ren Chunxiao, Li Zexu, Hu Weifeng, Song Bin and other 9 undergraduates as members. The "NEU-CHINA" team was founded in November 2015, and core members are all cultivation targets of the Medicine and Healthy School’s "Miaopu Plan".
The iGEM is a top level competition for international college students in synthetic biology field.
