On December 12 and 13, Zhao Ji,President of Northeastern University, was invited to visit Université de Toulouse,France.
During the visit, Zhao met with professor Philippe Raimbault, President of Université de Toulouse and Didier Marty-Dessus,Vice President of Foreign Affairs. The two sides affirmed the operation of the the co-founded Sino-French Institute of Engineering, hoping to strengthen teacher exchanges and expand scientific research cooperation on the basis of existing cooperation, and expand the cooperation level from undergraduate training to graduate training.
Professor Philippe Raimbault said that Université de Toulouse is an important leader in the recent establishment of four interdisciplinary research centres for artificial intelligence in Paris, Nice, Grenoble and Toulouse,which creates space for future cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. Zhao said Northeast University recently set up the Institute of Industrial Big Data and the Artificial Intelligence so that the two sides can develop international cooperation in artificial intelligence in the future.
The delegation visited Institue National Polytechnique de Toulouse. The two sides introduced the features of their school. Zhao hopes that the two sides can learn from the cooperation model between Northeastern University and Université Toulouse III to cooperate on students exchanges, joint training, summer school and other aspects in the fields of computer, software and control.
The delegation also visited the Student Services Center of Université de Toulouse,the LAPLACE and ICA National Key Laboratory and the Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse.
