Students of NEU Achieved Excellent Results in the China Collegiate Computing Contest 2020 – Network Technology Challenge

During October 24 - 25, the finals of the China Collegiate Computing Contest 2020 – Network Technology Challenge was held in Wenzhou Zhenan Technology City. Students of NEU won one first prize, two second prizes, and two third prizes, which is the best achievement in the history of NEU, with the number of winning works ranking among the top of universities in China. Among them, the entry Shen Wang Di Ting won the special prize (only two in China) of the Project Entrepreneurial Value Series (C). It was jointly completed by students Wu Hao, Chen Teng, An Hongna, Huang Cangjian and Yang Daoqing under the guidance of teacher Yao Yu from the College of Computer Science and Engineering and teacher Yang Wei from the Software College.

The Network Technology Challenge this time adopted the form of work competition, with three series: Innovation and Creativity Series (A), Technical Breakthroughs Series (B), and Entrepreneurial Pioneer Series (C) set up. The works covered software-defined network, the Internet of Things, industrial Internet, network security, network intelligence, cloud computing and other new network technologies. The finals adopted the way of offline roadshow review.

The Network Technology Challenge is one of the competition modules of the China Collegiate Computing Contest, sponsored by the Association of Computing Education in Chinese Universities. It is aimed at adapting to the development of network technology and application, meeting the industrial talent demands, promoting the cultivation of students’ innovation ability in network technology research, design, development and application, facilitating the training of new engineering talents and the curriculum system reform in related specialties, and motivating industry-education integration, industry-university coordination and reform of IT personnel cultivation modes. A total of 1,514 works from 313 universities in China participated in the qualification contest. After the qualification and selection, 140 works from 74 universities in China entered the finals.
