On October 21st, the donation and signing ceremony of He Tai scholarships of NEU was held in Room 513, New Machinery Building, NEU. Huang Xuqiang, Chairman of Shenyang He Tai Metallurgical Equipment Co. Ltd., a teacher of Institute of Modern Transmission and Digital Technology, School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of NEU; Sun Lei, Vice President of NEU; responsible persons of Foreign Liaison and Cooperation Department, and School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation; and representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.
Huang Xuqiang signed the He Tai Scholarship Donation Agreement with the person in charge of School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation. Huang Xuqiang donated CNY 1 million to H.L. Chiang Education Foundation on behalf of Shenyang He Tai Metallurgical Equipment Co. Ltd. Sun Lei awarded Huang Xuqiang the donation certificate.
In his speech, Huang Xuqiang introduced the development process of Shenyang He Tai Metallurgical Equipment Co. Ltd., and expressed his sincere gratitude to Northeastern University and School of Mechanical Engineering for their support for the company over the years. Huang Xuqiang said that the company would continue to strengthen cooperation with the School in related fields, and provide support for talent training, teaching and practice and scientific research and innovation of NEU.
Sun Lei expressed his wish that all teachers and students of NEU and alumni at home and abroad would continue to care for and support the development of the university, staying true to the original aspiration, and make greater contributions to the construction of the university to celebrate the hundredth birthday of NEU.
