Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the decision on the Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Colleges and Universities (Science and Technology) 2020. The Basic Research on Electromagnetic Field Control in Metallurgy and Materials Process presided over by Professor Wang Qiang of NEU won the first prize of Natural Science.
The relevant research has been positively evaluated and quoted by well-known scholars and teams at home and abroad in this field, and the theoretical and technological innovation achievements have been transformed and Promoted in industry in many domestic enterprises. The project was mainly completed by Wang Qiang, Liu Tie, Li Guojian, Wang Kai from the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, and Yuan Shuang from the School of Metallurgy.
It is reported that the Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Colleges and Universities (Science and Technology) is for national colleges and universities, with Natural Science Award, Technological Invention Award, Scientific and Technological Progress Award and Youth Science Award. In 2020, there were 297 awards (winners), including 60 first prizes and 75 second prizes for natural sciences, 17 first prizes and 23 second prizes for technological inventions, 1 special prize, 42 first prizes and 71 second prizes for scientific and technological progress, and 8 youth science awards.
