Rcently, the first “Liu Changchun Cup” Indoor Golf Challenge of NEU, sponsored by Physical Education Department of NEU and co-organized by the Stadium Management Center, ended successfully in the golf hall of Nanhu Campus.
This competition attracted a total of 116 players of 17 teams from 12 colleges in the whole school to compete on the same stage. There were three events: long shot, chipping and putting into the hole, and stroke play. They were divided into four groups: male faculty, female faculty, male students and female students, and they competed fiercely.
This competition not only injects new vitality into campus sports, making them more diversified, but also sets up a stage for golf enthusiasts to present themselves and learn skills, stimulates students’ strong interest in golf, and promotes the popularization and development of golf in youth campuses.
It is reported that the “Liu Changchun Cup” series of events is a campus sports brand activity created by the Physical Education Department of NEU, aiming at enriching campus sports culture, improving the physical quality of teachers and students, and providing a guarantee for the construction of first-class universities.
