On the morning of March 27, Shan Jixiang, Director of the Expert Committee of Chinese Cultural Relics Society and Director of the Academic Committee of the Palace Museum, delivered a special lecture titled with "Chinese Culture and Cultural Confidence" to teachers and students in Liaoning Province. More than 3,200 representatives of teachers and students from NEU participated in this lecture.
In this special lecture, Shan Jixiang explained the process and valuable experience of declaration, protection, inheritance and utilization of cultural heritage with a large number of vivid pictures, richcases and detailed data. Shan Jixiang said that the protection of cultural heritage should not only be "kept", but also be "alive", so as to integrate excellent traditional Chinese culture with modern life and provide practical support for strengthening cultural confidence.
In this lecture, Shan Jixiang also deeply described his mental journey as a "watcher" of the excellent traditional Chinese culture and the Palace Museum, talked about his experience in spreading excellent traditional Chinese culture through new media and digital technology innovation, and deeply interpreted the profound connotationand contemporary value of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.He also explained a series of profound cases in simple terms, which made teachers and students deeply understand the initial intentionand persistence of several generations of “people working at the Palace Museum” in protecting and inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
