On the morning of May 25, the opening ceremony of NEU International Cultural Experience Season themed with "Harmony Across Continents, Gathering from Seas" was held at the Zhixing Square in the Nanhu Campus. The opening ceremony of this International Cultural Experience Season was hosted by the Foreign Languages College, co-organized by the School of International Education, and guided by the International Cooperation and Exchange Department. Through a series of splendid performances and cultural activities, a grand cultural event of beauty in harmony is presented, allowing visitors to appreciate the diverse charm of countries around the world.
The opening ceremony consists of two major parts: the central stage and the cultural exhibition area. The central stage features a variety of programs such as wonderful catwalk shows, medley songs, energetic dances and martial arts performances. The cultural exhibition area is divided into six distinctive exhibition areas, including the China Exhibition Area, the Europe Exhibition Area, the America Exhibition Area, etc. Through interactive methods such as folk custom experience, food tasting, language communication, and costume display, all teachers and students of NEU can appreciate international culture.
It is understood that the NEU International Cultural Experience Season is a large-scale international cultural exchange event for all teachers and students of NEU. Initiated in 2012, it has been celebrated for 12 years. The International Cultural Experience Season features a variety of activities such as the opening ceremony, a series of international cultural salons, an English drama competition, a classic English speech imitation competition, a competition to tell Chinese stories in English, and a closing ceremony. Through these abundant and diverse activities, it builds a platform for cultural exchange and collision, guiding teachers and students to enhance their cultural confidence and broaden their international horizons.
