On June 10, a delegation led by Feng Lei, Vice President of JD Group, visited NEU. A cooperation and exchange symposium was held in Room 308 of Hanqing Hall. Zhang Hao, Deputy Secretary of the NEU Party Committee, and Liu Yanhui, Assistant to the President, attended the symposium. Relevant department heads of NEU also participated in the symposium.

Zhang Hao welcomed the visit of Feng Lei and her delegation. He stated that on the new journey of the new century, NEU, in response to national strategic demands, has strengthened its characteristic industry-university-research cooperation and continuously advanced its cooperation with leading enterprises. It is hoped that both sides could further leverage their respective strengths. By integrating the disciplinary advantages of NEU with the professional resources of JD Group in core business areas such as e-commerce, logistics, and supply chain, both can strengthen strategic cooperation layout in the overall pattern of coordinated education, science and technology, and talent promotion, and build a close community for business development. New and greater contributions to promoting the full revitalization of the Northeast and advancing Chinese modernization can be made.

Feng Lei spoke highly of NEU for its profound historical heritage and positive contributions made to the country and the nation over the past century. She introduced the background and purpose of this visit. She stated that JD Group has established a complete business system that includes integrated supply chain services, logistics cloud, technology services, data services, and cloud warehouses, and the strategic cooperation with NEU will be a first-class benchmark. She further expressed her hope that both would take this exchange as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in various fields including talent cultivation and scientific research innovation, and jointly write a new chapter of “university-enterprise cooperation and innovative development” to promote the high-quality development of the e-commerce industry and related fields.

At the symposium, both sides had in-depth discussions on various topics, including talent cultivation, discipline development, procurement, and supply chain systems, and reached a cooperation agreement. Specific arrangements for the implementation of the strategic cooperation had been made as well.
