Professor Kostyantyn M. Sukhyy, President of the National University of Science and Technology of Ukrainian, and his Delegation Visit NEU’s School of Metallurgy

On September 25, Professor Kostyantyn M. Sukhyy, President of National University of Science and Technology of Ukraine and a corresponding academician of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, and Professor Olexandr Velychko, Former President of National University of Science and Technology of Ukraine and an academician of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering of Ukrain, Professor Iurii Proidak, Vice President of the University, and their delegation visited the School of Metallurgy at NEU. Vice President Xu Wei met with the guests in Room 301 of the Metallurgy Building. Accompanying the meeting were relevant officials from the School of Metallurgy and the International Cooperation and Exchange Department.

Xu Wei extended a warm welcome to Professor Kostyantyn M. Sukhyy and his delegation, expressing hope that both sides would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation through talent development, scientific research, and other avenues. Simultaneously, leveraging the Talent Introduction and Innovation Base as a platform, both sides will establish long-term and stable mechanisms for academic exchange and scientific research collaboration, with a focus on advancing substantive cooperation in key research projects and the commercialization of research outcomes.

Kostyantyn M. Sukhyy stated that NEU possesses internationally leading academic strengths in metallurgy. He expressed hope that through mutual collaboration, the two institutions would deepen cooperation in scientific research innovation and talent cultivation, establish an international exchange platform for faculty and students, and jointly enhance their global academic influence.

Following the meeting, representatives from the School of Metallurgy at NEU and the National University of Science and Technology of Ukraine jointly entered into a cooperation agreement.
