Professor Ali Reza Kamali of the School of Metallurgy Was Elected As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Recently, Ali Reza Kamali, a special professor of the "Double Hundred Plan" of the School of Metallurgy, was elected by the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Founded in 1841, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the world's oldest chemistry academic group, the largest chemical science group in Europe, and one of the most influential internationally authoritative academic institutions. Every year, according to the recommendation of peer experts, the Society selects scientists who have made outstanding achievements in the field of chemical science research and made outstanding contributions to the development of chemical science in the UK and internationally.

In September 2016, Ali Reza Kamali was hired as a special professor of the "Double Hundred Plan" and joined the School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University. He had worked in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge, UK. He has been engaged in research work in the fields of graphene, carbon nanotubes, nanodiamonds, lithium ion battery electrode materials and high-performance alloy preparation, and has made significant achievements. A number of achievements have been put into industrial application and won the Iranian national science and technology award "Harris International Award" and provincial and ministerial level "National Outstanding Experts Award".He has undertaken 10 research projects in Iran, the United Kingdom, China, etc. He has published more than 60 SCI papers in Energy & Environmental Science, Green Chemistry, Nanoscale, Chemical Communications, Carbon and other journals. He has been authorized to have one patent in the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia,and applied for four US patents, three Chinese patents, one Japanese patent, and one PCT.
