Professor Xu Dake’s Research Group at NEU Publishes Research Findings on the Mechanism of Microbially Influenced Corrosion of Titanium in National Science Review

Recently, Professor Xu Dake’s research group from Professor Wang Fuhui’s team at NEU made significant progress in the field of research on the mechanism of microbially influenced corrosion of titanium materials. The relevant findings, titled “Microbially reduced flavins destabilize the TiO₂ passive film of titanium under bulk aerobic conditions”, were published in the renowned international multidisciplinary journal National Science Review (DOI: 10.1093/nsr/nwag426). Associate Research Fellow Li Jiaqi is the first author of the paper; Professor Xu Dake and Professor Derek R. Lovley are co-corresponding authors; NEU is the primary completion institution.

The above work was funded by projects including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Doctoral Scientific Research Start-up Fund of Liaoning Province, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.
