On September 23, the China Minmetals–NEU Symposium on Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation and Signing Ceremony was held in Room 308, Hanqing Hall.
Feng Xiating welcomed Zhu Kebing and his delegation on their visit to the university. Feng Xiating stated that NEU has deep expertise in fields such as mineral resource development, metallurgical materials, intelligent manufacturing, and green and low-carbon technologies; this signing represents an important practical step in implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy, safeguarding national mineral resource security, and serving the new breakthroughs in the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning. Zhu Kebing stated that the two parties have long established an all-round, multi-level cooperation pattern in joint scientific and technological research on key problems, the joint construction of innovation platforms, and cooperation in high-level talent; he expressed the hope that taking this signing as a new starting point, both sides will further coordinate efforts to tackle key core technologies, promote the transfer and transformation of innovative achievements, deepen the cultivation of high-level engineering and technical talent as well as internationalized talent, jointly serve national development strategies, and write a new chapter in university-enterprise cooperation.
