May 26th, Brest teaching point of Belarusian Confucius Institute of Science and Technology—"Chinese Language and culture center" held the opening ceremony in Brest State Technical University.
On the opening ceremony, Алексеев, the vice president of Belarusian National Technical University, Драган, the vice president of Brest State Technical University respectively made speeches. Wang Yiqiu, the director of management committee of Northeastern University (NEU) Hunnan Branch, attended the ceremony and made speech representing NEU, and she delivered warm congratulations for the foundation of the center.
Teaching point of the Brest Confucius Institute is the first Chinese language teaching institute founded in places out of the capital Minsk since Confucius Institute of Science and Technology of Belarus has founded for two years. It is also the first Confucius Institute teaching point in Brest. Up to now, near 100 people studied Chinese and Chinese culture in this teaching point, and the outstanding participants will have the chance to take part in Northeastern University Summer Camp this year.
On the ceremony, Belarusian National Technical University, Brest State Technical University both indicated that they would take Confucius Institute of Science and Technology as the platform, and conduct close cooperation and coordination with Northeastern University in teaching and scientific research, so as to reach win-win cooperation.
