In the morning of June 20th, the Northeastern University 2016 graduation ceremony and degree ceremony was held in Liu Changchun Stadium. Alumni representative Liu Zaiwang, Board Chairman of Jiangho Group Company Limited, alumni representative Wang Dehu, Board Chairman of Dalian Jinqiao Computer System Engineering Company Limited, leaders of Northeastern University Sun Jiaxue, Zhao Ji, Xiong Xiaomei, Yang Ming, Wang Fuli, Zhang Guochen, Lu Yanhua, Sun Lei, Wang Jianhua attended the ceremony. Directors and leaders of all departments and schools, representatives of teachers, more than 100 graduates' families, faculties who worked on student affairs and all graduates attended the ceremony. The graduation ceremony was hosted by vice president Wang Jianhua.
Vice president Wang Jianhua firstly briefed the graduation and degree granting situation, then vice president Zhang Guochen read the list of Northeastern University Outstanding Graduates of 2016, Northeastern University Outstanding Graduate Leaders and Outstanding Graduates Who Voluntarily Complied with Country's Need.
President Zhao Ji made the Graduation Speech of "Let us meet at our 30s". Zhao Ji indicated that after four years' university life, students had gotten great improvement both academically and intellectually, and they enjoyed independently thinking and solving problems, which made them growing up with Northeastern University. Every student had some experiences that could make alma mater proud, and they were just like stars on the sky, decorating the sky of their alma mater. When the 100th anniversary of NEU came, these graduates would be on the up curve of their career, and at that time they would be in their 30s, and Northeastern Universitywould also be in its "30s". Faced with the new era of technology innovation, ideaistic convergence and deep change of human society, Northeastern University chose a path of "Inheritance, Innovation and Transcendence", and the university would fall abreast of all the graduates and together welcome the arriving of their 30s.
