The first session of Liaoning Marxism Academy general assembly was hold in Northeastern University(NEU).The council eleted the Dean of Marxism School of NEU as the president.
The academy was jointly initiated by Marxism Schools from Northeastern University, Dalian University of Technology, Liaoning University, Liaoning Normal University and Daliann Maritime University, and it is also authorized by the Department of Civil Affairs of Liaoning province. Till now, the total number of this academy members reaches about 200, and the main part of it are teachers and scientific research workers.
The academy will conduct researches and deep discussions around major theoretically and practical issues, and constantly provide significant research results, so as to proactively provide advice for government decisions. The academy aims to promote the theoratical construction of Marxism, cultivate Marxism talents, boost the integration of Marxism with China's actual conditions and Liaoning's social and ecnomical development, thus offer important intellectual support and idelogical ideological lead for the revitalization of the old northeast industrial base and Liaoning's 13th Five Year Plan.
