According to the results of 2016 MCM/ICM (MathematicalContest in Modeling/ Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling) published recently,177 teams of Northeastern University (NEU) won 90 awards in all, which include 23“Meritorious Winner” and 67 “Honorable Mention”. NEU had made outstandingachievements in MCM/ICM as usual.
MCM/ICM is amulti-day mathematics competition held annually, during the first or secondweekend in February. It is distinguished from other major mathematicalcompetitions by its strong focus on research, originality, teamwork,communication and justification of results.
