In April 20th, 2016, “China Liaoning and Germany Friendship Week” series activities—the Sino-Germany friendship forest planting activity was held in NEU. Secretary of People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Liaoning province, Sun Delan, member of the German-Chinese Friendship Association board, Zhu Xiaobing, President of NEU, Zhao Ji, vice president Sun Lei, Principal Assistant Xu Feng, director of NEU Goethe Language Center Lu Bin participated the activity, and together witnessed 16 White Oak saplings which represented 16 states of Germany settling in NEU. After the activity, Sun Delan visited the NEU Goethe Language Center.
