Recently, at the invitation of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, President Zhao Ji of our university made a friendly visit to Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Zhao Ji hold several talks with president of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, professor János Józsa. They agreed that both sides were famous for engineering, and had familiar disciplinary system, so two sides had very broad cooperation space. Two sides founded inter-school cooperation in 2005, now two sides should further promote practical cooperation, and launch long-term and short-term student and faculty exchange project and other projects.
Northeastern University delegation conducted in-depth discussion with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics counterpart on the student exchange program. Relevantperson of Budapest University of Technology and Economics introduced Stipendium Hungaricum Program Scholarship Program, and Northeastern University students can apply for the scholarship so ao to go to the school for studying and exchange. In addition, from September this year, Hungary is planned to send 9,000 students to study abroad at public expense in the next 6 years, and student of Budapest University of Technology and Economics can come to Northeastern University for studying and exchange through applying the project.
The delegation also visited Architecture School of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and made deep discussions with leader of the Academy on student exchange, faculty exchange and other specific cooperation issues.
