On March 20, Gan Yong,the famous strategy scientist in China, the brain thruster for national scienceand technology strategy decision-making and the former president of ChineseAcademy of Engineering was invited to return to his Alma mater NEU.
He made a speciallecture for teachers and students in NEU entitled “strategy of invigorating thecountry with manufacturing and industry technology of critical material for keyproject. ZhaoJi, the President presided over the lecture.
In the lecture,GanYong introduced the development tendency of science and technology in theworld, the infrastructure and key projects of the Third industrial revolution, andemphasized the guidelines and major characteristics of constructing manufacturingpowerhouse in China. He Points out the development idea, development goals andimportant actions for the construction of manufacturing power.
GanYong used a lotof examples to demonstrate the digital, networking and intelligent products andthe new pattern of industry. He pointed out that materials and informationtechnology are the basic supporting points in all the fields of scientificresearch.Northeastern university should grasp the opportunity, and strive to takethe advantages of disciplines such as materials and information, acceleratingthe construction of supercomputer center and the center of the cloud computing topromote the construction of manufacturing powerhouse in our country.
In summary statement,ZhaoJi said that 2015 is the key year for NEU to plan the future, deepen thereform and rule the school by law. GanYong’s lecture has vividly displayed theblueprint for our country to build a manufacturing powerhouse as well as pointedout the development direction of NEU. ZhaoJi hoped that all the teachers andstudents to study GanYong’s lecture seriously and grasp the opportunity of manufacturingpowerhouse construction in our country to promote the rapid development of NEU.
On March21, GanYonginspected NEU cloud computing Science and Technology Industrial Park accompaniedby secretary of the party committee SunJiaxue ,President ZhaoJi and person incharge of other relevant departments.
