Recently,the list of National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project in 2014was announced.Professor WangGuoren of Northeastern University was selected as well as won the honorarytitle of a middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution. He is the only oneselected in Liaoning province.
WangGuo ren,doctoraltutor, cheung kong scholar chair professor, winner of national outstandingyouth science fund, member of the national natural science foundation informationdepartment expert board. He has got Bachelor, master and doctor degree incompute from NEU in respectively in 1988,1991 and 1996. His research fieldsinclude XML data management, bioinformatics, P2P data management, multimediadata, high-dimensional indexing technology and parallel data processing. He hasdirected more than 20 items of national outstanding youth science fund project,key and surface projects of national natural science funds as well as the national"863" plan projects. He has got 9 national and Provincial science andtechnology progress prizes totally.
Itis reported that 390 middle-aged academic and technical leading talents wasselected in National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project. 60experts from 51 departments directly subordinate to Chinese Ministry ofEducation was selected. So far, NEU has 13 talents selected in NationalHundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project.
