Northeastern University Vice President Jiang Maofa Met with Dublin City University Delegation

On Mar. 19th,vice President Jiang Maofa of Northeastern University (NEU) met with DublinCity University (DCU) vice president Trevor Holems at Hanqing Assembly Hall,accompany with principals of NEU International Cooperation and ExchangeDepartment, College of Business Administration, and College of Software.


Vice PresidentJiang Maofa welcomed Mr. Trevor Holems’ visit, and introduced him about NEU’s developmenthistory, main achievements, orientation, preponderant disciplines, andsituation of international exchange briefly. Jiang Maofa spoke highly of thecooperation of NEU and DCU. He pointed that, the two universities establishedinterschool cooperation since 2008, during the past years, multiple cooperationcontent has achieved fruitful results. Especially, NEU College of BusinessAdministration and College of Software both launched several teacher exchangeand student training projects, jointly built laboratories and applied for theNational Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He hoped on this basis,the two universities could have further and deeper cooperation in the future.


Mr. TrevorHolems introduced the basic information and development planning of DCU. Heindicated that NEU is a famous University with a rich history, and is in theleading position in many fields. It’s a pride that DCU has such close andmeaningful cooperation with NEU, which benefits both universities in the pastfew years. He believed the future cooperation between NEU and DCU could be in adeeper level, and also would extend to the fields of Mechanical Engineering,Clean Energy, Computer Science, Life Science, and Biomedicines, etc.
