Jan. 18th, Northeastern University (NEU) held Greater Liaoning AreaRegional Development Servicing Forum in International Academic Exchange Center.More than 60 alumni and school board representatives came from greater Liaoningarea presented by invitation. Leaders of NEU, Sun Jiaxue, Zhao Ji, Yang Ming,Jiang Maofa, Zuo Liang, Wang Fuli, and Sun Lei attended the Forum.
On behalf of NEU, President Zhao Ji welcomed and thanked all the alumnusand school board for concerning, helping and supporting school’s constructionand development. He pointed that NEU had drew up and submitted “NEU LiaoningRegional Economic Development and Northeast China Revitalization ServicingAction Plan”, perfecting “innovation ecosystem” of university servicingregional economic and social development.
Discussions during the Forum included how to break the of bottleneckproblems of regional development, how to deal with a new industrial revolution actively,how to participate in the northeast old industrial base secondary revitalization,as well as making greater contributions in the field of environmentalprotection industry and environmental science and technology, etc.
