Recently, the results of the 14th “Lanqiao Cup” National Competition for Software and Information Technology Professionals were released. NEU won six first prizes, 26 second prizes and 35 third prizes. Among them, the work of Zhou Xiaoshu, Zhao Yujie and Liang Guiwei, instructed by teacher Huo Kai from the College of Arts, won the first place of the first prize in the National UI Design (APP) track, and received congratulations from the Bulletin of the organizing committee. NEU was awarded the winning university of the Visual Art Design track and the Software track and the excellent organization unit of the Visual Art Design track. Hou Lin and Huo Kai from NEU were awarded the Top 100 Instructors in the competition.
“Lanqiao Cup” National Competition for Software and Information Technology Professionalsis a nationwide event in the IT field, aimed at accelerating teaching innovation and reform of such disciplines as computer, software and electronic information at colleges and universities, improving students' independent innovation awareness and engineering practice ability, and providing talent support for China's strategy of developing a manufacturing powerhouse and network powerhouse. Since initiated in 2010, the competition has been held for 14 consecutive years. It is a five-star competition identified by the Star Classification Table of NEU for Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions.
