On September 26, the Signing Ceremony of NEU-Yucaitang Teaching Fellowship Donation was held in Suzhou. Wang Guodong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at NEU, Li Dequn, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Mao Xinping, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Sun Lei, vice-president of NEU, Yi Hongliang, chairman of Yucaitang (Suzhou) Material Technology Co., Ltd., and the heads of NEU’s State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation attended the ceremony.
On behalf NEU, Sun Lei expressed his warm congratulations on the official opening of the R&D headquarters of Yucaitang (Suzhou) Materials Technology, and acknowledged the establishment of the NEU-Yucaitang Teaching Fellowship and its practice of giving back to NEU. It is expected that Yucaitang will focus on the major strategic needs of the country, solve more technical problems, and make great contributions to China’s R&D and production of new metal materials, he said.
At the ceremony, the two parties signed an agreement on the NEU-Yucaitang Teaching Fellowship donation. According to the agreement, Yucaitang (Suzhou) Material Technology Co., Ltd. will donate 1.5 million yuan (0.3 million yuan per year for 5 consecutive years) for personnel training and faculty construction of the State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation, aimed at encouraging students and teachers to study hard and devote themselves to education and science and technology.
