On the morning of December 16, the Signing Ceremony & Opening Ceremony of the Joint Innovation Center for Steel Whole-process Intelligent Manufacturing built by LY Steel, NEU and Huawei was held at LY Steel Cloud Data Center, Loudi. Xiao Zunhu, Party Secretary and Executive Director of LY Steel, Li Jianping, Deputy General Manager of Huawei in Hunan Province, Wang Guodong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and Sun Lei, Vice-president of NEU, were present at the ceremony.
The three parties signed the cooperation agreement on building the Joint Innovation Center for Steel Whole-process Intelligent Manufacturing. Xiao Zunhu, Wang Guodong, Sun Lei, and Li Jianping together unveiled for the center.
To focus on global technological innovation elements and promote in-depth application of big data, artificial intelligence and 5G technology in the iron and steel industry, realize autonomous control over key technologies of intelligent manufacturing in the iron and steel industry, lead the top-level design and standard setting of the industrial Internet, the three parties together build the Joint Innovation Center for Steel Whole-process Intelligent Manufacturing in line with the principle of “be future-oriented, pragmatic, open and collaborative for shared development. As an industry-university-research-application platform for industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing in the iron and steel industry, the center will focus on solving the key and fundamental practical problems of upgrading the iron and steel industry and improving quality and efficiency. By effectively integrating the three parties’ high-quality resources, focusing on global innovation elements such as technology, talent, and capital, establishing open technological innovation alliance with the enterprises and scientific research institutions worldwide related to the industrial chain of iron and steel materials and intelligent manufacturing, the center will promote pilot demonstration of 5G + industrial Internet and other strategies in LY Steel, implement integration of steel intelligent manufacturing model lines, formulate the industrial Internet construction standards for the iron and steel industry, and lead transformation and upgrading of the iron and steel industry.
