On December 22, the 7th Chinese College Students Skiing Challenge & the 30th Winter Universiade Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding Competitions organized by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) ended at the Songhua Lake Ski Resort in Jilin Province. Nearly 200 athletes from 20 colleges and universities nationwide took part in the competitions. Two students from the Physical Education Department of NEU won two individual championships.
In the men's alpine skiing giant slalom competition on the first day, Su Dongge, a graduate student of 2020 from the Physical Education Department of NEU, performed outstandingly and finished first with a time recording of 1:1.05. In the snowboard parallel giant slalom on the second day, Jia Ying, a graduate student of 2020 from the Physical Education Department, won the second gold medal for NEU as well as the title of “Best Athlete”.
