The China Robot Competition and the RoboCup China Open (RoboCup Division) were held in Beijing from May 1 to 4, 2025. The RoboCup innovation team, under the instruction of teachers Jia Zixi, Wen Shiguang and Li Xingyang from the School of Robotics Science and Engineering of NEU, has won two first prizes and one second prize at the national level.
It is reported that the RoboCup China Open, as one of the most influential and highest-level comprehensive technical competitions in the field of robotics in China, is geared to college students and teenagers. It is dedicated to promoting the development of robot-related disciplines, especially automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The Chinese Association of Automation takes the lead in hosting the competition. The competition advisors are composed of renowned academicians and experts in the field of automation. The competition has been widely recognized by universities across the country at the technical and academic levels. It is also a five-star competition recognized by our university in the "NEU Star Classification Table of Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions".
