Recently, the 4th National Metallurgical Science and Technology Competition for College Students, which was sponsored by the MOE Steering Committee for the Teaching of Materials at Colleges and presented by North China University of Science and Technology, came to an end. The NEU team made great achievements in the competition. They won a total of 1 special prize, 6 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 18 third prizes in the Scientific and Technological Innovation & Creative Design Unit; 1 special prize, 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize in the Simulation Training Unit. NEU also won the “Excellent Organization Unit Award”.
The National Metallurgical Science and Technology Competition for College Students is a national event facing the current college students majoring in metallurgy, materials, chemical emerging, resources, energy, and environment. Themed “low carbon, intelligent manufacturing, innovation, and efficiency”, the competition this year received a total of 1,234 works from 66 colleges and universities in 25 provinces (municipalities directly under the central government, and autonomous regions) all over the country.
