On March 17, the Low-carbon Steel Technology Online Exchange between CISA and NEU was held. Jiang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of CISA, Huang Dao, Deputy Secretary General of CISA, Wang Guodong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Tang Lixin, Vice-president of NEU, were present at the meeting. Responsible persons of CISA and teachers from relevant colleges and schools of NEU attended the meeting.
Wang Guodong introduced NEU’s low-carbon steel development route briefly, and the construction background and conditions of the Advanced Technology Research Institute of Low-carbon Steel in-detail. NEU will actively carry forward all-round cooperation with CISA, promote revolutionary innovation in steel production based on the characteristics of the steel industry, strengthen the implementation of the Materials Genome Initiative, and make efforts in “peaking carbon dioxide emissions” and “carbon neutral” with such technologies as big data, machine learning, digital twin in the steel industry, Wang Guodong said.
Advanced Technology Research Institute of Low-carbon Steel respectively made a keynote report on the construction of the low-carbon steel research platform and the cutting-edge research results of NEU.
