At the Hengdian 2026 Competition Signing and Release Conference and the Fifth Conference on University Students' Competitions and Innovative Talent Cultivation on March 21, the National Virtual Teaching and Research Office for Teacher Teaching Development in Universities, together with Hubei University of Technology and the Higher Education Digital-Intelligence Evaluation Research Center of Zhejiang University City College, jointly released the fourth round of the Competition Index for University Students in Arts and Design (Undergraduate, 2026 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the “Arts and Design Competition Index”). The Arts and Design Competition Index released this time covers 13 competitions, with award data collected from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2025, totaling 14 years and 431,933 award records.
In the university tier classification results released this time, a total of 1184 universities participated in the evaluation, and only 11 universities were awarded A+. NEU has continuously ranked within the top 1% and has once again received the A+ honor, demonstrating its achievements in cultivating innovative talents in the fields of arts and design.
